We kick off at 13:00 with an inspiring afternoon programme of pitches, discussions, and interactive sessions at the intersection of AI and SciComm, organised in collaboration with AI Samenleving (AI Society). After the programme, we raise a glass together at our summer drinks from 16:00 onwards.

A short introduction to the afternoon.

13:05 – 13:30 | Pitches: SciComm meets AI
Short talks by science communicators and AI experts on some of the big questions, such as:

Does AI democratise science communication?

How can we better involve society in AI development?

AI and misinformation – part of the problem or part of the solution?

What is AI’s impact on the science communication ecosystem?

13:30 – 14:15 | Open Space – Part 1
An interactive session where participants explore unexpected questions, bold ideas, and possible futures for the relationship between AI and science communication.

14:15 – 14:30 | Break

14:30 – 15:30 | Open Space – Part 2
In small groups, participants will dive deeper into themes that emerged earlier, shaping their own discussions and next steps.

15:30 – 15:45 | Wrap-up & Reflections
We summarise key insights, share takeaways, and look ahead.

16:00 | Summer Social
From 16:00, we’ll continue the conversation over drinks in an informal setting. A perfect chance to network, connect, and toast to the summer!
